The figure shown is the sum of the voluntary project contributions documented in that year. Contributions are assigned by booking date. The amounts do not represent avoided, reduced or compensated emissions.
The overview lists every project to which at least one documented individual contribution is assigned in the period shown.
Direct project support
The combination links a certificate-based project with separately documented direct support. Its focus is on social development and local value creation; the certificate-based and direct components are reported separately.

Deutschland plus Mix + PROJECT TOGO verbindet Naturwaldaufforstung in Anlehnung an den Gold Standard mit Waldökologieprojekten in Deutschland. Augenmerk liegt bei PROJECT TOGO neben der Aufforstung auf den Bereichen Bildung, Wasser, Energie, Arbeit und Gesundheit. Project Togo stärkt den Standort und bietet der lokalen Bevölkerung langfristige Perspektiven. Das regionale Engagement in Deutschland wird über einen zusätzlichen Geldbetrag, der zu 100 % an das Bergwaldprojekt e.V. fließt und somit ergänzende Umwelt- und Klimaschutzprojekte ermöglicht, abgedeckt.

Certificate-based project support
Support of a climate protection project with project units. The project standard and registry ID are documented.
Direct project support
Support of a specific ecological, social or combined measure. No particular CO₂e effect is stated.

What EmpCo permits
Investments in environmental initiatives may be communicated factually. A project contribution does not have to be certificate-based.
The important limit
No neutral, reduced or positive climate effect of a product may be derived from the project support.
Application
The new rules apply from 27 September 2026.
Information instead of promised effects
Communicate only the documented facts: project, project type, period and available records.
Keep them apart
A CO₂ balance, a company's own reductions and voluntary project contributions should be presented separately.
Better avoided
Terms such as “climate neutral”, “CO₂-neutral” or “balanced” in connection with project support.
